Origin Wukong-180 Fourth-Generation Superconducting Quantum Computer

Origin Quantum reports its previous generation computer, Origin Wukong, has logged 50 million remote accesses from users in over 160 countries over the past two years, indicating strong global demand for access to quantum computing resources. This milestone coincides with the launch of Origin Wukong-180, the company’s fourth-generation domestically developed superconducting quantum computer, which is now accepting tasks worldwide. Origin Quantum states this represents China’s first successful export and commercial sale of domestically produced quantum computing power, achieved through a fully self-developed “full-stack” system encompassing the chip, measurement & control, environment support, and operating system. The company also reports Origin Wukong has completed more than 900,000 global quantum computing tasks, establishing Origin Quantum as a key player in the developing field.

Origin Wukong-180: Fourth-Generation Superconducting Quantum Computer

Origin Quantum has released Origin Wukong-180, its fourth-generation superconducting quantum computer, and initiated global access to the new system as of Saturday. Based in Hefei, Origin Quantum has also established the nation’s first quantum chip production line and developed a publicly downloadable quantum computer operating system. The company’s expansion extends to education, partnering with nearly 100 universities nationwide to deliver quantum computing programs, solidifying its position as China’s first quantum computing company and a key player in the evolving field.

900,000 Global Tasks Completed on Origin Wukong Platform

Origin Quantum’s Origin Wukong platform has demonstrably met international demand, completing 900,000 global quantum computing tasks and representing what the company claims is China’s first export of domestically developed quantum computing power. This milestone builds on the performance of its third-generation computer, Origin Wukong, which logged approximately 50 million remote accesses originating from over 160 countries during more than two years of stable operation. This level of domestic control over the entire quantum computing process is rarely achieved outside of established international players and supports the firm’s ambition to expand beyond research. The firm developed China’s first quantum computer operating system available for public download, broadening access to the technology.

Its four key core systems – the quantum computing chip system, quantum computing measurement and control system, quantum computing environment support system, and quantum computer operating system – are all fully self-developed by Origin Quantum at the full-stack level.
