Rigetti Collaborates With Planqk To Expand Quantum Research And Application Development Using Rigetti'S Qpu And Planqk'S Industry Expertise

Rigetti Computing has announced a new partnership with PlanQK to offer QPU access and software development tools and support to enable quantum research and application development. This agreement is a part of Rigetti’s strategy to build a quantum computing platform for business and science that can be accessed via the cloud.

“Our partnership with PlanQK is an exciting opportunity to expand access to our latest generation of quantum processors, and to drive the industry towards commercialization with critical use case development. With the industry expertise of our PlankQK collaborators we’ll be able continue developing our hardware to create functionality that’s applicable to a broad user base,”

Mandy Birch, Rigetti SVP, Partnerships

Rigetti is the first company to offer public access to its quantum computers, enabling the scientific community to explore the power of quantum computing.

The partnership will allow PlanQK to use Rigetti’s hardware in performing quantum simulations and research that will help to uncover more applications and industrial use cases of this disruptive technology.

Through a combination of PlanQK’s industry experts and Rigetti’s hardware and latest quantum processors, the collaboration is expected to birth new and improved solutions to industry problems with the use of quantum computing technology. The duo will focus on quantum machine learning and optimization applications. The partnership will foster an improved quantum ecosystem, leading to quantum expansion globally.

“We are very excited to have Rigetti join us as a hardware partner for the PlanQK platform. We have had insightful discussions during the setup phase; both on a use case as well as a platform integration level and are now looking forward to taking the next step in enabling the quantum ecosystem together with Rigetti.”
