Rigetti Computing has announced a new partnership with PlanQK to offer QPU access and software development tools and support to enable quantum research and application development. This agreement is a part of Rigetti’s strategy to build a quantum computing platform for business and science that can be accessed via the cloud.
Rigetti is the first company to offer public access to its quantum computers, enabling the scientific community to explore the power of quantum computing.
The partnership will allow PlanQK to use Rigetti’s hardware in performing quantum simulations and research that will help to uncover more applications and industrial use cases of this disruptive technology.
Through a combination of PlanQK’s industry experts and Rigetti’s hardware and latest quantum processors, the collaboration is expected to birth new and improved solutions to industry problems with the use of quantum computing technology. The duo will focus on quantum machine learning and optimization applications. The partnership will foster an improved quantum ecosystem, leading to quantum expansion globally.
PlanQK is a consortium of research institutes and Laboratories. Members of PlanQK are D-Fine, Deutsche Bahn, QAR-Lab of Ludwig Maximilian University Munich (LMU), University of Stuttgart and StoneOne AG.
