Postquant Labs is launching QuipSwap, a cross-chain swap protocol designed to eliminate vulnerabilities that have caused billions of dollars in losses from hacks and exploits. Unlike traditional cross-chain solutions, QuipSwap utilizes a peer-to-peer mechanism where parties exchange wallet access, with immediate claim key delivery ensuring no reversals are possible.
“If one party claims their side of the trade, the counterparty immediately receives their claim key too—no take-backs,” said Colton Dillion, CEO and co-founder of Postquant Labs. This launch also addresses the growing threat of quantum computing, as Postquant Labs simultaneously operates a worldwide quantum computing network and builds the solution to protect against it.
QuipSwap Protocol Enables Trustless, Bridgeless Cross-Chain Transactions
Unlike conventional methods, QuipSwap establishes trustless swaps between blockchains without relying on bridges, oracles, or wrapped assets, components frequently targeted by malicious actors. The new protocol employs a peer-to-peer mechanism allowing parties to directly exchange wallet access across different blockchains in a synchronized manner, fundamentally altering how these transactions are executed. This approach sidesteps the need for centralized intermediaries, a critical security improvement given the increasing sophistication of attacks on blockchain infrastructure.
The company successfully demonstrated a live claim process at ETHDenver in February, validating the protocol’s functionality before its public launch. Beyond enhanced security, the timing of QuipSwap’s release addresses the growing threat posed by quantum computing to existing cryptographic standards.
