$50 million fuels Fortaegis’ push for quantum-resistant security

Fortaegis Technologies has secured $50 million in oversubscribed Series A funding led by Serendipity Capital, accelerating commercial production of its quantum-resistant Secure Compute architecture. The investment will expand deployment across defense, manufacturing, telecommunications, and other critical industries as artificial intelligence and the advent of quantum computing reshape digital infrastructure. The company states that its full-stack platform is designed to establish trust at scale across millions of devices. Since its founding in October 2023, Fortaegis has grown across Europe, the United States, and Asia, working with over 25 enterprises and governments.

$50 Million Series A Fuels Fortaegis Secure Compute Deployment

The newly secured investment will directly expand Fortaegis’ production capabilities across four key regions: the United States, Europe, Singapore, and Japan. This expansion focuses on scaling up manufacturing of the company’s field-programmable gate array (FPGA) products and accelerating the development of its application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) roadmap, Fortaegis says. Beyond hardware, the funding will also bolster Fortaegis’ engineering and commercial teams, enabling wider deployment of its Secure Compute architecture.

Strategic investment also came from TEL Venture Capital, the corporate venture arm of Tokyo Electron, and TNO, a Dutch organization focused on applied research. These additions signal a broadening of industry support beyond initial investors and highlight the growing recognition of Secure Compute’s importance within the semiconductor supply chain and industrial infrastructure. Additional investors include NP-Hard Ventures, NovaCapital, Access Ventures, and Coalition Capital, demonstrating a diverse portfolio of expertise backing Fortaegis’ vision.

Individual participation from figures like Ilyas Khan, founder of Quantinuum and Fortaegis Chairman, Ian Fujiyama, Head of Global Aerospace, Defense and Government at Carlyle, and Peter Frankopan, Professor of Global History at Oxford University, underscores the strategic significance of the technology. Internal and customer testing has revealed connection performance exceeding 200 times faster than conventional approaches, while maintaining quantum-safe security, according to Fortaegis. This performance boost is achieved through the Fortaegis Silicon Platform, a full-stack architecture encompassing hardware, firmware, cryptography, and software.

The platform’s design roots security in the physical properties of silicon, extending identity, security, policy, and orchestration across enabled nodes. This unified infrastructure supports multiple deployment methods, including server rack mounted, ruggedized edge, compact edge, and embedded silicon, offering flexibility for diverse applications. Fortaegis has already filed 17 patents, with an additional 14 pending, demonstrating a commitment to protecting its innovations in the rapidly evolving field of secure computation.

Currently, Fortaegis is collaborating with governments, global enterprises, and strategic technology partners on programs where security, performance, and resilience are paramount. These engagements are transitioning from customer-funded engineering and technical validation into product qualification and production deployment, indicating a maturing market for the company’s technology.
