UAE Cyber Security Council hosted a global Quantum Innovation Summit

The Quantum Innovation Summit 2026, organized by Vernewell Group with the UAE Cyber Security Council as Official Host, took place in Dubai from 28 to 30 September. The programme closed in Abu Dhabi on 1 October with Technology Innovation Institute (TII) Quantum Day, the closing programme of Global Quantum Week. Across those days the Summit linked scientific research with cybersecurity, AI and aerospace, treating quantum technology as more than a purely technical field.

Malak Trabelsi Loeb, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Vernewell Group, led the development and delivery of the Summit, now in its third edition. Ahead of the event she set out its scope: “Quantum, AI, cybersecurity, space, advanced computing and critical infrastructure are increasingly interconnected technology systems.” The 2026 edition aimed to move “from dialogue to collaboration,” turning scientific progress into practical work across government, industry and academia.

In Dubai, the Summit’s sessions covered post-quantum readiness, AI development and aerospace engineering. The programme connected research with talent development and placed governance alongside the technology itself. TII Quantum Day in Abu Dhabi then turned the focus to applied research and infrastructure.

The UAE Cyber Security Council thanked government and strategic partners, academic institutions and supporting organizations for their contributions. Participants from companies, universities and investment groups joined the discussions in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and others took part remotely from around the world.

The closing announcement described the Summit as more than a series of discussions, with collaboration intended to continue after the event. It said the next phase is open to participants from the global community.
