SEEQC signs deal to link US quantum tech with Taiwan’s manufacturing

SEEQC Chief Technology Officer Dr. Shu-Jen Han signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Taiwan’s Quantum Industry Technology Promotion Office during SEMICON Taiwan 2026, signaling a multi-year focus on building a robust quantum supply chain. The agreement outlines collaboration spanning technology and product development, manufacturing, and commercialization, and will utilize Taiwan’s specialized expertise in room-temperature electronics, superconducting chips, and advanced CMOS interfaces to complement SEEQC’s U.S.-developed quantum technology.

“Taiwan has an extraordinary concentration of semiconductor, electronics and manufacturing expertise that can play an important role in the development of a scalable global quantum industry,” said Han. This MOU establishes a framework for technical exchange and potential joint development between SEEQC and Taiwan’s quantum ecosystem.

SEEQC is actively integrating Taiwanese capabilities beyond general manufacturing, specifically focusing on room-temperature electronics, superconducting chip manufacturing, and advanced CMOS interface development to complement its U.S.-based quantum technology. This strategic alignment builds upon existing relationships established by the company within Taiwan’s technology sector, positioning it for long-term collaboration rather than immediate product deployment.

The memorandum of understanding signed during SEMICON Taiwan 2026 formalizes a comprehensive approach encompassing technology and product development, manufacturing, testing, validation, commercialization, and complete supply-chain development. The agreement follows Dr. Han’s participation in the Quantum Taiwan Forum, Full Stack, where she presented SEEQC’s chip-based quantum computing approach alongside representatives from companies like IBM and Google.

This multi-year collaboration intends to forge a global alliance with Taiwan-based quantum research leaders, facilitating technical exchange and potential joint development initiatives. By connecting SEEQC’s technology with Taiwan’s established industrial base, the partnership aims to build a more robust and geographically diverse quantum technology and supply-chain ecosystem.
