British Quantum Computing Companies Get Funding For Groundbreaking Ai Research.

SECQAI, Boston Limited, Intelligent Voice and Oxford Quantum Circuits (OQC) have secured co-funding from the Feasibility Studies in Quantum Computing competition provided by Innovate UK. The funding will support their research and development in quantum computing, aligning with the UK’s National Quantum Strategy. The collaboration aims to advance quantum computing, particularly in developing Quantum Artificial General Intelligence (QAGI). The co-funding will accelerate their research and innovation, strengthening the UK’s position in the quantum computing landscape. The collaboration will also contribute to the economic growth and security of the UK.

The Feasibility Studies in Quantum Computing competition marks a significant milestone in developing quantum technologies for the UK’s prosperity and security. Quantum computing offers alternative techniques for building AI, including training models with less data. Recognising the transformative nature of this technology, the four organisations are collaborating to advance quantum computing. Their combined efforts aim to accelerate the development of innovative quantum computing solutions, taking the first steps towards Quantum Artificial General Intelligence (QAGI).

Collaborative Efforts to Advance Quantum Computing

SECQAI, Boston Limited, Intelligent Voice and OQC are committed to working together to push the boundaries of quantum computing. The co-funding will accelerate their research and innovation, bolstering the UK’s position in the quantum computing landscape. Each organisation brings unique expertise and capabilities to the joint effort, fostering knowledge exchange, driving innovation and contributing to the UK’s economic growth and security.

Collaboration in quantum computing allows organisations to develop their talent pool and solidify their commitment to delivering advanced technology. The organisations have a history of pioneering technological advancements, with Intelligent Voice having pioneered GPU-accelerated speech technology almost ten years ago.

SECQAI is a team of physicists, engineers and developers creating Quantum Hardware and Algorithms to defend against classical and quantum threats. Boston Limited has been synonymous with servers, storage and solutions for 30 years, establishing itself as an early adopter of various global technology partners. Intelligent Voice Limited provides secure speech and NLP solutions to regulated and privacy-sensitive industries. Oxford Quantum Circuits (OQC) is a quantum computing company that brings quantum to its customers’ fingertips and enables them to make breakthrough discoveries.

“We are thrilled to have secured co-funding from the Feasibility Studies in Quantum Computing competition, which acknowledges the immense potential of quantum technologies in pushing towards QAGI,”

Rahul Tyagi, CEO and Co-founder of SECQAI.

Innovate UK and the Competition

Innovate UK supports businesses to develop and realise the potential of new ideas, driving productivity and economic growth. It connects businesses to partners, customers and investors that can help them turn ideas into commercially successful products and services. Innovate UK is part of UK Research and Innovation and will invest up to £8 million in innovation projects.

The aim of the Feasibility Studies in Quantum Computing competition is to bring together end-users from many industry sectors, with experts in quantum computing. They will identify and develop use cases in the UK that demonstrate the potential and commercial benefits of this technology.

“We are thrilled to be part of this initiative. It is exciting to consider the potential that quantum computing has to fuel beneficial advances in the movement towards an Artificial General Intelligence.”
