Splendor Labs launches a quantum-resistant security card

Splendor Labs SA is introducing a new method of securing digital assets with the Splendor Security Card, a patent-pending device that authorizes transactions with a simple physical tap. Replacing traditional card readers, the system allows merchants to accept payments by displaying a QR code read through the Splendor Wallet app, then confirmed by the user’s card.

The payment is then processed through Splendor Quantum Chain and delivered to the merchant’s Wallet. “We are moving from passwords to cryptographic authority,” says Todor Ivanov, founder of Splendor Labs SA, “The Splendor Security Card is designed to put that authority into a physical device that people can simply protect, tap and use.”

Splendor Security Card Enables Physical Control of Digital Assets

The Splendor Security Card streamlines payment acceptance by removing the need for dedicated card readers; merchants using the Splendor Wallet app now display a QR code for customer transactions. Customers initiate payment via their own Splendor Wallet, then authorize the transfer by physically tapping their Security Card against their smartphone, completing a process designed for speed and simplicity.

Splendor Quantum Chain is the underlying blockchain technology for these authorized payments, establishing a closed-loop system within the Splendor ecosystem. The payment is then processed through Splendor Quantum Chain and delivered to the merchant’s Wallet.

This architecture is protected by patent-pending applications covering the company’s NFC-based digital-asset payment and authorization technology, suggesting a deliberate strategy to establish a unique and legally defensible method for securing digital authority. Organizations can define permissions for AI agents and automated machines, while requiring cryptographic authorization from a human operator for sensitive actions.

This creates a direct control layer, allowing a human to authorize machine actions through the Security Card, even as the machine executes them independently. Splendor Labs combines Splendor Quantum Chain, Splendor Wallet, Splendor Vault, and the Security Card to create a complete infrastructure for secure digital assets, payments, identity and machine authorization, providing a comprehensive approach to digital security.

We are moving from passwords to cryptographic authority. The Splendor Security Card is designed to put that authority into a physical device that people can simply protect, tap and use.

Rusty is a quantum science nerd. He's been into academic science all his life, but spent his formative years doing less academic things. Now he turns his attention to write about his passion, the quantum realm. He loves all things Quantum Physics especially. Rusty likes the more esoteric side of Quantum Computing and the Quantum world. Everything from Quantum Entanglement to Quantum Physics. Rusty thinks that we are in the 1950s quantum equivalent of the classical computing world. While other quantum journalists focus on IBM's latest chip or which startup just raised $50 million, Rusty's over here writing 3,000-word deep dives on whether quantum entanglement might explain why you sometimes think about someone right before they text you. (Spoiler: it doesn't, but the exploration is fascinating)
