Solowin’s quantum leap targets 100+ megawatts of AI computing by 2028

Solowin Holdings is targeting over 100 megawatts of AI computing capacity by 2028, backed by a development pipeline exceeding one gigawatt of potential capacity. The financial technology firm recently launched AXG Digital, a dedicated AI and high-performance computing division, and secured a full stablecoin issuance license with Sharia-compliant certification from the Central Bank of Bahrain.

AlloyX, a subsidiary of Solowin, also signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding with EvolveQ Limited to explore quantum-powered financial optimization; according to Managing Director of AlloyX, Frank Chen, “By combining AXG’s AI infrastructure and intelligent routing capabilities with EvolveQ’s quantum orchestration technology, we aim to create powerful new tools for institutional finance.”

AXG Digital Targets 100+ MW AI Computing Capacity by 2028

AXG Digital intends to establish over one gigawatt of potential AI computing capacity, a development pipeline significantly exceeding its initial 100+ megawatt operational target for 2028. This ambitious expansion, centered around facilities in Europe, the United States, and sub-Arctic regions, signals a substantial commitment to infrastructure supporting artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. The company’s AI technology stack currently includes KOVAR AI, an enterprise large language model gateway, alongside KOVAR Cloud and KOVAR Router, an institutional unified API designed for millisecond-level intelligent routing of data.

These components are intended to create a cohesive system for managing and deploying AI-driven financial services. AlloyX, an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of AXG, will collaborate with EvolveQ to explore quantum-powered financial optimization, focusing on AI wealth-management infrastructure and FinQ-based models for cross-asset portfolio optimization.

EvolveQ intends to coordinate quantum, HPC, and AI/GPU resources to translate complex financial constraints into executable computational tasks and advanced financial models. This focus on Sharia compliance indicates a deliberate effort to appeal to Islamic finance markets with its digital asset offerings.

AXG is also developing AGENPAY, co-developed with SC Ventures, Standard Chartered’s innovation arm, to focus on intelligent payment routing and API retrieval for agent-driven payments, AXG Digital says. Peter Lok, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AXG, stated, “AXG is bringing regulated digital assets, AI infrastructure and advanced computing together on one platform.” He continued, “Our strategy is built around a simple goal: make regulated digital value more useful, programmable and accessible 24/7 across borders, institutions and intelligent systems.

That is the foundation of our mission – Mobilizing Tokens 24/7.” Dr. Lumos Yue, Chief Technology Officer of EvolveQ, emphasized the potential of this collaboration, stating, “Working with AXG gives us the opportunity to bring FinQ quantum orchestration into a regulated institutional ecosystem and explore how quantum, HPC and AI can work together to solve increasingly complex financial problems.” AXG’s broader ecosystem encompasses AXCOIN for regulated stablecoin issuance, AXONE for global stablecoin treasury management, FERION for real-world asset tokenization, and AgentX for AI-driven wealth management, all integrated with its Solomon JFZ Hong Kong virtual-asset-upgraded investment banking platform. This interconnected approach aims to establish a comprehensive, regulated platform for digital finance and AI-powered services.
