Will demonstrate two new quantum-resistant chips and a post-quantum ASIC design concept at Electronica 2026, November 10-13 in Munich. The company will join NXP and Infineon for a roundtable discussion, “Physical AI at the Edge for Industrial Security,” on November 11, indicating a collaborative approach to security solutions. Visitors to the booth will also view a quantum-computer mock-up and learn about the silicon quantum-computing partner.
SEALSQ Unveils VaultIC409 and QVault TPM for Post-Quantum Security
VaultIC409, a secure element undergoing Common Criteria EAL5+ certification, will be demonstrated at Electronica 2026, offering a hardware Root of Trust designed to accommodate the larger key and certificate sizes required by post-quantum algorithms. The chip, built on the QS7001 platform, incorporates dedicated acceleration for both classical and post-quantum cryptography, including ML-KEM and ML-DSA, and uses a Serial Peripheral Interface for data transfer.
SEALSQ intends the VaultIC409 to serve the same markets as its VaultIC408, specifically smart meters, industrial gateways and connected devices, and will showcase its capabilities through a live TLS 1.3 demonstration at the trade fair, the company says. Engineering samples of the chip are slated for release in the second quarter of 2027. Complementing the VaultIC409 is QVault TPM, a post-quantum Trusted Platform Module that implements the Trusted Computing Group’s post-quantum command set directly in silicon.
This module generates and securely stores ML-DSA and ML-KEM keys alongside traditional RSA and ECC keys, enabling manufacturers to establish a hardware-based foundation for secure boot, device identity and attestation while simultaneously preparing for the transition to quantum-resistant cryptography. Support for QVault within wolfSSL’s wolfTPM embedded TLS stack allows developers to access post-quantum operations through a widely adopted interface, rather than relying on proprietary methods.
The product line is currently pursuing certifications under both FIPS 140-3 and TCG standards. Beyond these chips, SEALSQ, through its subsidiary IC’Alps, is presenting QASIC, a post-quantum Application-Specific Integrated Circuit design service, according to the company.
IC’Alps joined SEALSQ in August 2025, bringing expertise in analog, digital and mixed-signal design, as well as functional safety and low-power architecture, to the company’s post-quantum roadmap. According to David Fresneau, Strategic Marketing Director at IC’Alps, “At Electronica we are showing what QASIC truly represents: not another catalog chip, but a new approach to designing trusted custom semiconductors.” QASIC aims to accelerate the development of custom chips with built-in quantum-resistant security, rather than adding it as an afterthought.
Gweltas Radenac, Product Marketing Director at SEALSQ, emphasized the strategic importance of the trade fair, stating, “Electronica is where embedded decisions get made.” The company intends to use the event to showcase live demonstrations of its chips across a range of applications, including automotive, medical, smart energy, smart home and access control, illustrating how secure semiconductors, PKI, device provisioning, and custom ASIC design can contribute to building trusted products from the ground up. “We are bringing the chips and the live demos to Hall C6 so manufacturers can see what a quantum-ready Root of Trust looks like before they lock their next design,” Radenac added.
This combination enables the rapid and efficient development of application-specific semiconductors that are secure by design, cyber-resilient and optimized for performance, power consumption, safety and lifecycle requirements in demanding sectors like automotive, medical, industrial and critical infrastructure. The company is actively encouraging current and prospective customers, investors and other interested parties to schedule meetings during the event to discuss the latest developments and potential collaborations.
