SEALSQ highlights U.S. quantum investments at New York event

SEALSQ CEO Carlos Moreira will outline the company’s U.S. strategy at IQT Quantum + AI 2026, delivering the keynote “Securing the Quantum AI Era: From Silicon to Space” on October 27th at 9:10 am ET. The presentation will detail SEALSQ’s investments in U.S. quantum companies and collaborations with MIT Media Lab, Lattice Semiconductor and GlobalFoundries. According to Mr. Moreira, “Post-quantum algorithms alone are not enough,” emphasizing the need for certified hardware foundations to secure digital infrastructure against evolving threats. SEALSQ’s approach connects quantum computing investment with secure semiconductor technologies and post-quantum cryptography.

SEALSQ’s U.S. Strategy: Quantum Investment and Semiconductor Collaboration

SEALSQ is actively expanding its presence in the United States through a targeted investment in EeroQ, a Chicago-based quantum computing company specializing in an electron-on-helium architecture. This investment directly supports U.S. quantum innovation and aims to connect emerging computing platforms with secure silicon expertise. The company’s strategy extends beyond financial backing, encompassing collaborative research and development with several key U.S. institutions.

A relationship with MIT Media Lab facilitates interdisciplinary research and innovation, positioning SEALSQ within a community focused on resilient technologies and human-centered digital systems, the company says. Simultaneously, a collaboration with Lattice Semiconductor integrates programmable logic with SEALSQ’s QS7001 and QVault TPM technologies, combining FPGA technology with a hardware root of trust and post-quantum cryptography for applications demanding secure identity and communications.

These efforts are designed to address the growing need for robust security measures in an increasingly interconnected world. Further solidifying its U.S. This partnership focuses on secure integrated circuits, post-quantum security intellectual property, and chiplet hardware security modules, alongside exploration of cryogenic CMOS technologies for quantum computing systems.

The goal is to connect SEALSQ’s security expertise with GlobalFoundries’ semiconductor manufacturing capabilities, creating a comprehensive approach to quantum-resistant infrastructure. “Building a trusted quantum future requires investment across the entire technology chain, from emerging quantum architectures and research to secure chips and industrial manufacturing,” said Mr. Moreira.

The company’s approach recognizes that the increasing sophistication of cyberattacks, particularly those using artificial intelligence, necessitates a shift in security paradigms. “Connected devices can be attacked directly at the chip, and AI is becoming a force multiplier for attackers,” Moreira explained. He emphasizes that a certified hardware foundation, whether a single secure element or a chiplet, is important for establishing trust. SEALSQ intends to extend this trust from the chip itself to the cloud through its PKI and digital identity services.

The company’s strategy encompasses post-quantum secure chips with a hardware Root of Trust, post-quantum PKI, investments in quantum computing and quantum photonic interconnects, and the Quantum Spatial Orbital Cloud developed by its sister company, WISeSat. The development of this orbital cloud demonstrates a move beyond basic quantum investment into a specific application of the technology, combining quantum computing with space-based infrastructure.

SEALSQ will formally unveil a new brand identity at the IQT Quantum + AI event, featuring a logo that combines a secure chip with the letter Q for quantum, accompanied by the tagline This rebranding reflects the company’s conviction that trust must be embedded in hardware, bridging the gap between current post-quantum security measures and the future of quantum computing. The company plans to use the event to engage with researchers, technology companies and investors, encouraging dialogue on the practical steps needed to transition towards quantum-resistant infrastructure.

Mr. Moreira will present his strategy and vision for a secure quantum future. He will also participate in the Senior Executive Panel at 3:15 pm ET on the same day, further solidifying SEALSQ’s position as a key player in the evolving landscape of quantum security.

Building a trusted quantum future requires investment across the entire technology chain, from emerging quantum architectures and research to secure chips and industrial manufacturing.
