Not sure what all the fuss is about with Xanadu’s Quantum Advantage announcement?

We reported yesterday on the amazing announcement from Xanadu that they had demonstrated Quantum Advantage which means that certain applications can happen 50 million times faster than a classical computer. Xanadu have also made their hardware publicly assessable through the cloud. But for those who want an easy to digest video, Xanadu have produced a video that explains the achievement with the device named Borealis.

Xanadu has shown quantum computational advantage using their device named Borealis which is their newest photonic quantum computer. It is the first photonic quantum computer offering full programmability of all its gates to demonstrate quantum computational advantage. The device is also available to the public over the cloud. The innovation follows a series of accomplishments which have put photonic computing firmly on the map as a technology that can deliver.
