Quantum Design has appointed Matt Gorovoy as Chief Commercial Officer, effective July 15, 2026, signaling a planned leadership transition to bolster commercial expansion. Gorovoy will oversee the company’s global sales, marketing, business development, and customer-facing functions, with a remit to pursue both organic growth and acquisitions. He arrives from Becton Dickinson, where he most recently led Business Development and Strategy for BD Biosciences, overseeing global business development, strategic partnerships, precision medicine initiatives, and corporate development, demonstrating an effort to integrate expertise from the life science and technology industries. This move positions Quantum Design to leverage Gorovoy’s experience in scaling customer-facing organizations and driving growth in complex markets. Gorovoy’s responsibilities extend beyond traditional sales and marketing functions to encompass business development, commercial strategy, and all related customer interactions, indicating a consolidation of these areas under a single leader. He will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Stuart Schoenmann and join the company’s Executive Leadership Team, responsible for both organic expansion and pursuing acquisition-driven growth initiatives.

Gorovoy’s prior experience within Danaher Corporation and Thermo Fisher Scientific further underscores his track record in building and leading high-performing commercial teams. His career spans over two decades, encompassing roles in business development, strategic transformation, and corporate development across diagnostics, scientific instrumentation, and advanced technology. Gorovoy holds an MBA from the University of California San Diego, a Ph.
