Neutral-atom quantum firm Pasqal Will Ring Closing Bell On Pasqal on 17th September

Pasqal will ring the Nasdaq Closing Bell on September 17, 2026, formally beginning trade under the ticker symbol PSQL for the neutral-atom quantum computing firm. The company, founded in 2019, has rapidly moved from research into deploying quantum solutions for businesses and research institutions globally.

Pasqal’s Nasdaq Listing Marks Quantum Computing Milestone

Pasqal began trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market under the ticker symbol PSQL on August 28, 2026, completing its business combination with Bleichroeder Acquisition Corp and establishing Pasqal Holding SA as the listed entity. This move provides direct access for investors to engage with a firm focused on neutral-atom quantum computing, a technology that differentiates Pasqal from competitors utilizing superconducting or trapped ion approaches. The company’s systems are currently deployed in France, Italy, Saudi Arabia, and Canada, offering both cloud and on-premises access to its quantum processing capabilities.

The listing follows at least €340 million in funding secured in March 2026, comprised of a €170 million private round and roughly €170 million of committed convertible financing, to accelerate the global deployment of Pasqal’s quantum computing platform and support ongoing innovation, the company says. These partnerships demonstrate a strategic focus on expanding beyond European roots and establishing a presence in key growth markets.

Wasiq Bokhari, Chief Executive Officer of Pasqal, stated, “Ringing the Nasdaq Closing Bell is a proud moment for us and for everyone, from our employees and founders to our investors, who contributed to building the company we are today.” This milestone signifies a transition from research into delivering practical quantum solutions, with the company actively collaborating with businesses, research institutions, and public authorities worldwide. Pasqal and True Nexus partnered on applying neutral-atom processors to food protein design and 3D modelling of protein gelation.

Founded in 2019 by Georges-Olivier Reymond, Antoine Browaeys, Thierry Lahaye, Christophe Jurczak, and Alain Aspect, who serves as a scientific advisor, Pasqal now comprises approximately 275 people. The company’s ambition extends beyond technological advancement, aiming to translate quantum capabilities into solutions for problems intractable for classical computers, according to Pasqal. The Nasdaq Closing Bell ceremony will occur at 4 p.m. ET on September 17, 2026, at Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square, New York City, and will be livestreamed on Nasdaq’s official channels.

Pasqal was founded on the belief that the neutral-atom approach to quantum computing could deliver high-value solutions to real-world, complex challenges.

Rusty thinks that we are in the 1950s quantum equivalent of the classical computing world. While other quantum journalists focus on IBM's latest chip or which startup just raised $50 million, Rusty's over here writing 3,000-word deep dives on whether quantum entanglement might explain why you sometimes think about someone right before they text you. (Spoiler: it doesn't, but the exploration is fascinating)
