Securosys & OmniTrust blend cloud PKI with quantum hardware security

OmniTrust and Securosys have integrated their technologies to deliver a Public Key Infrastructure solution prioritizing both automation and hardware-backed key protection, the company says. The collaboration combines OmniTrust’s cloud-native PKI platform with Securosys Primus CyberVault Hardware Security Modules and Securosys CloudHSM, allowing organizations to scale certificate management without sacrificing security. “Modernizing PKI should not mean compromising the protection of the keys on which digital trust ultimately depends,” says Robert Rogenmoser, CEO of Securosys. The integrated solution offers deployment flexibility on premises or in the cloud while supporting a transition to post-quantum cryptography.

This design choice directly addresses a key concern for organizations seeking to modernize their Public Key Infrastructure without sacrificing security, as maintaining key isolation is paramount. Securosys offers deployment flexibility through both on-premises HSMs and cloud-based options, avoiding a forced hybrid approach and enabling organizations to select the model best suited to their specific needs and regulatory requirements, according to the company. This dual availability ensures that organizations can align their PKI deployments with existing infrastructure and cloud strategies.

Securosys Primus CyberVault HSMs natively support both classical and post-quantum cryptographic algorithms, positioning OmniTrust PKI deployments to seamlessly evolve toward future trust models. This forward-looking capability is increasingly important as the industry prepares for the potential disruption of quantum computing to existing cryptographic standards. The combined solution supports a range of modern enterprise PKI environments, including automated certificate lifecycle management and deployments within cloud-native and Kubernetes infrastructures.
