Pasqal, a global leader in neutral-atom quantum computing, began trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market under the symbol “PSQL”, with an enterprise value of approximately $2 billion. The listing provides $360 million in gross proceeds to fund Pasqal’s continued growth as it moves toward industrial-scale systems, a milestone celebrated by early investor Quantonation, the company says. “Pasqal has been part of my journey since its beginning, so a Nasdaq listing is a remarkable moment,” said Christophe Jurczak, co-founder of both Quantonation and Pasqal, reflecting a connection spanning the company’s inception and arrival on public markets.
Quantonation’s Early Seed Funding Fuels Pasqal’s Growth
The venture firm first backed Pasqal by leading its seed round, and later co-led a €25 million Series A funding round in 2021, recognizing the potential of neutral-atom technology as it became a leading platform in quantum computing. This strategic investment facilitated Pasqal’s global expansion and its progression toward building industrial-scale quantum systems. He added, “When we started, neutral atoms were far from an obvious contender in quantum computing; since then, they have emerged as one of the field’s leading platforms.” This early conviction in the science driving Pasqal proved pivotal to its development.
The business combination provides $360 million in gross proceeds, which will now fuel Pasqal’s continued expansion, allowing the company to refine its technology and scale its operations. Quantonation’s investment strategy, focused on breakthroughs originating from physics, is now demonstrably yielding results with Pasqal’s arrival on a major U.S. exchange. “Pasqal reaching the public markets indicates a broader trend in the industry,” explained Olivier Tonneau, Co-Founder and Partner at Quantonation. “Quantum companies are developing from research ventures into industrial businesses capable of raising capital and competing on a global scale.”
