Soderbery, Sitaraman Join PsiQuantum’s Expanded Leadership

PsiQuantum has formalized Victor Peng’s leadership, naming him Chief Executive Officer after he served in an interim capacity since February, as the company expands its executive team to scale operations. Joining PsiQuantum are Rob Soderbery, as Executive Vice President, and Sriram Sitaraman, as Chief Information Officer, bringing decades of experience building global technology organizations and advanced computing infrastructure. “PsiQuantum is entering an exciting new chapter,” said Victor Peng, Chief Executive Officer of PsiQuantum. The appointments signal PsiQuantum’s ambition to develop quantum technology using a silicon photonics platform and to establish a broad tech operation capable of supporting it.

Soderbery and Sitaraman collectively bring decades of experience in building global technology organizations responsible for advanced computing infrastructure, a critical need as PsiQuantum pursues its goals. The company aims to build “the world’s first utility-scale quantum computers” utilizing a silicon photonics platform, and anticipates opportunities across advanced computing infrastructure. Soderbery brings over three decades of experience in scaling complex computing systems, most recently serving as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Flash Business at Western Digital, where he oversaw a multi-billion-dollar operation. Prior to that, he led a similarly substantial portfolio at Cisco, encompassing enterprise networking, cloud infrastructure, and computing, with responsibility for global engineering and product management.

Sriram Sitaraman has joined PsiQuantum as Chief Information Officer, tasked with establishing a robust technological foundation to support the company’s ambitious expansion and future innovations. Sitaraman will oversee engineering infrastructure, enterprise systems, IT security, AI enablement, and digital transformation, crucial elements for scaling operations globally. He arrives from Synopsys, where he previously constructed and managed one of the largest engineering compute environments in the industry, supporting advanced electronic design automation, simulation, and AI workloads for a workforce of thousands. This focus on IT infrastructure reflects PsiQuantum’s understanding that utility-scale quantum computing demands more than just qubit development; it requires a secure and scalable digital ecosystem. He envisions a future where AI and quantum computing work in tandem to tackle complex problems in fields like pharmaceuticals, materials science, and energy.
