Chugach Government Solutions is now partnering with Quantum Knight Inc. to enhance data security for U. S. government agencies, offering protection with encryption strength up to 10,240 bits against emerging quantum computing threats. The collaboration will integrate Quantum Knight’s lightweight, software-based CLEAR system into CGS’s technology offerings, providing quantum-resistant encryption for files, networks, and IoT devices. Unlike many post-quantum solutions, CLEAR can be deployed with just two lines of code and has a small footprint under 500KB, avoiding costly infrastructure overhauls. “As agencies transition to post quantum standards, we see CLEAR as a powerful tool to protect sensitive information across complex and contested environments,” said Mark Miller, Technical Solutions Division General Manager for Chugach Government Solutions.
CGS and Quantum Knight Partner for Post-Quantum Cryptography
The emergence of quantum computing poses a threat to current encryption standards, and a new partnership aims to bolster defenses against these future threats. Chugach Government Solutions (CGS) is working with Quantum Knight Inc. to distribute CLEAR, a post-quantum cryptography system designed for U. S. government agencies, offering a high level of security up to 10,240-bit strength. Unlike many emerging solutions, CLEAR prioritizes ease of integration, requiring only two lines of code for deployment, which is an advantage for agencies hesitant to undertake extensive infrastructure changes. This streamlined implementation is possible because of CLEAR’s small footprint, measuring under 500KB, allowing for broad applicability across diverse environments, from cloud infrastructure to tactical devices and IoT networks. The system incorporates biometric authentication and supports standardized post-quantum algorithms like Kyber and Dilithium, preparing organizations for upcoming national standards. Quantum Knight CEO Andy Schwaderer emphasized the collaborative nature of this effort, stating, “We’re excited to partner with Chugach Government Solutions to expand access to CLEAR Cryptosystem within federal environments,” and highlighted CGS’s established relationships and domain expertise as crucial to wider adoption and a proactive response to the evolving threat landscape.
Current cryptographic standards face an increasing threat from the anticipated arrival of quantum computing, prompting a shift toward post-quantum cryptography; however, many proposed solutions demand substantial infrastructural changes and computational resources. Quantum Knight Inc.’s lightweight design broadens the potential applications of robust post-quantum encryption to resource-constrained environments, including the Internet of Things and tactical devices, alongside traditional cloud and on-premises systems.
We’re excited to partner with Chugach Government Solutions to expand access to CLEAR Cryptosystem within federal environments. CGS brings deep domain experience and trusted customer relationships across government sectors. Together, we’re making it easier for agencies to deploy quantum‑resistant encryption and prepare for a rapidly evolving threat landscape.
