India Establishes Quantum Materials Lab for Advanced Semiconductor Research

In a significant step towards advancing quantum technology and semiconductor research in India, INOX Group and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) have joined hands to establish the INOX Quantum Materials Lab. The lab, located at the Centre for Nano Science and Engineering (CeNSE) facility at IISc, will focus on developing topological semiconductors, critical materials for achieving fault-tolerant quantum computing.

Siddharth Jain, Director of INOX Group, emphasized the company’s commitment to advancing scientific research and supporting India’s leadership in cutting-edge quantum technology. Professor Srinivasan Raghavan, Chair of CeNSE, IISc, highlighted the collaboration’s potential to make advanced technologies more affordable and accessible while driving research in quantum technology and materials.

The lab will also explore topological insulators, epitaxial ferromagnetic semiconductors, and other quantum materials, with INOX Group’s subsidiaries, INOX Air Products and INOX India Ltd, contributing to the development of the lab as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
