QANplatform Joins Linux Foundation to Advance Post-Quantum Cryptography Standards

In a significant move to safeguard digital infrastructures against quantum-era threats, QANplatform, a quantum-resistant blockchain platform, has joined the Linux Foundation and its Post-Quantum Cryptography Alliance (PQCA). QANplatform, a blockchain platform focused on providing unparalleled time-to-market for Web3 development, has announced its membership in the Linux Foundation and participation in the Linux Foundation’s Post-Quantum Cryptography Alliance (PQCA) project. This move signifies QANplatform’s commitment to developing next-generation cryptographic solutions that can withstand quantum-era threats.

The PQCA is a consortium of industry leaders dedicated to advancing cryptographic solutions that can resist quantum computing threats, ensuring long-term security for digital assets and communications. As one of the first 20 members, QANplatform joins a distinguished group of prominent PQCA members, including IBM, Google, Meta, and Nvidia, among others.

The Linux Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering innovation through open-source technologies. It hosts some of the most impactful technology projects globally, supporting the development of secure, scalable, and reliable software. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) finalized its post-quantum cryptographic standards in August 2024, providing a critical milestone for companies to start transitioning to quantum-resistant cryptographic solutions. These standards serve as a framework for securing sensitive information in a quantum future.

As quantum computers become more advanced, they will be capable of breaking current encryption methods, posing significant risks to industries and governments alike. QANplatform has demonstrated its expertise in quantum-resistant blockchain security by identifying and implementing the post-quantum algorithm (CRYSTALS-Dilithium) in its blockchain platform well before NIST selected it. This showcases QANplatform’s commitment to providing unparalleled time-to-market for Web3 development, serving SMEs, enterprises, and large government infrastructure projects with quantum-resistant security.

In March 2024, the first EU country adopted QAN’s quantum-resistant technology, further solidifying its position as a leader in the field of post-quantum cryptography. QANplatform’s custom virtual machine (VM) allows developers to write smart contracts in any programming language compatible with the Linux kernel, lowering entry barriers and enhancing adoption.
