To investigate go-to-market synergies in mutually advantageous fields such as quantum computing, cryptography, and communication technologies. Tech Mahindra, a prominent provider of digital transformation, consultancy, and business re-engineering services and solutions, and IQM Quantum Computers, the European leader in quantum computers, have signed a memorandum of agreement to collaborate on quantum computing research.
The organizations will look at ways to collaborate in mutually beneficial areas such as quantum computing, cryptography, and communication technology. As part of the agreement, the businesses will collaborate to develop new quantum computing products for various industries, including healthcare, cyber security, and finance. They will continue co-developing and selling quantum technology use cases in India and Finland.
The fabric of computation is changing, and Quantum Computing is the harbinger of that change. It promises to address the challenges that cannot be solved using current computation techniques and empower us to re-imagine customer experience & move towards a sustainable future at a time when energy requirements have become unsustainable. At Tech Mahindra, riding this wave of change, we have collaborated with IQM Computers, intending to set new standards in the research and development of commercially viable use cases across industries. We are confident that this collaboration will help Tech Mahindra and IQM Computers expand their global footprints in Quantum Computing by leveraging synergies.”

Finland and India have significant relations in research, technology, and innovation, and both countries are striving to construct the Indo-Finnish Virtual Network Center for quantum computing. The Indian government intends to invest INR 8,000 crores (US$1 billion) in the quantum industry over the next five years through several programs. Conversely, Finland boasts one of the world’s leading quantum ecosystems, with decades of development in quantum technologies and strong government support, venture capital community, and research network.
This collaboration aligns with Tech Mahindra’sMahindra’s NXT.NOWTM paradigm focuses on investing in new technologies and solutions that allow digital transformation and satisfy the increasing needs of the consumer.
