Symmatrics taps Jim Garrity to boost quantum security sales

Symmatrics has appointed Jim Garrity as Senior Vice President of Growth, bringing thirty years of experience in go-to-market and sales leadership to the quantum security platform company. Garrity will focus expansion efforts across both government and commercial sectors, scaling Symmatrics’ sales organization and strategic partnerships. “As we expand our market presence, Jim will help enterprises and government agencies embrace a new standard of digital trust that is simpler, stronger, and built for the AI and quantum era,” says Walter Raquet, CEO of Symmatrics.

Garrity’s career began at Ingram Micro before he spearheaded growth at MoreDirect, a Value Added Reseller e-commerce startup, where he grew annual revenue to exceed $125 million, ultimately leading to its acquisition by Connection. He continued to expand that revenue stream post-acquisition, reaching over $600 million annually, demonstrating a consistent ability to build and lead high-performing sales organizations. Walter Raquet, CEO of Symmatrics, highlighted Garrity’s experience as crucial for navigating a rapidly evolving security landscape, stating, “Jim has built and scaled growth engines for some of the nation’s most respected technology companies.”

The appointment signals Symmatrics’ focus on both government and commercial sectors as key areas for expansion, leveraging Garrity’s experience in building strategic partnerships. “Symmatrics is uniquely positioned at the intersection of trust and quantum security with the world’s first One-Time Pad Symmetric Key architecture at internet scale,” Garrity explained. “I’m excited to build the company’s sales engine, deepen partnerships and address increasingly complex security challenges with this breakthrough solution.” He intends to build the infrastructure necessary to support long-term, profitable growth for the quantum secure data protection platform.

Rusty is a quantum science nerd. He's been into academic science all his life, but spent his formative years doing less academic things. Now he turns his attention to write about his passion, the quantum realm. He loves all things Quantum Physics especially. Rusty likes the more esoteric side of Quantum Computing and the Quantum world. Everything from Quantum Entanglement to Quantum Physics. Rusty thinks that we are in the 1950s quantum equivalent of the classical computing world. While other quantum journalists focus on IBM's latest chip or which startup just raised $50 million, Rusty's over here writing 3,000-word deep dives on whether quantum entanglement might explain why you sometimes think about someone right before they text you. (Spoiler: it doesn't, but the exploration is fascinating)
