After nearly five years of work, the QSolid consortium has concluded its efforts to advance quantum computing in Germany, the company says. Coordinated by Forschungszentrum Jülich, the collaboration between research institutions, companies, and start-ups focused on bridging the gap between quantum hardware and software development. HQS Quantum Simulations contributed by simulating Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectra, evaluating quantum approaches while accounting for real-world noise and device limitations. This work has spurred innovation in NMR-based materials analysis, demonstrating how QSolid’s knowledge is driving further advancements.
NMR Simulation Advances Assess Quantum Hardware Performance
The team’s simulations assessed how well quantum hardware could support practical applications under conditions mirroring real-world performance, a critical step in bridging the gap between theoretical potential and demonstrable utility. This work provided valuable insights into the potential of quantum computing for NMR, advancing HQS’s development of application-focused quantum technologies. These simulations directly inform the development of solutions for analyzing materials using NMR, demonstrating a tangible outcome from the QSolid collaboration.
