Hallman joins Symmatrics to bolster post-quantum security

Symmatrics has appointed Andrew Hallman, a veteran of both the Central Intelligence Agency and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, to its Strategic Advisory Board. The October 22, 2026 announcement signals a proactive effort to bolster cybersecurity defenses against rapidly evolving threats from artificial intelligence and the approaching era of quantum computing.

Hallman’s decades of experience overseeing national security initiatives will guide Symmatrics’ development of technologies protecting critical infrastructure, according to Walter Raquet, Chairman and CEO of Symmatrics. “Symmatrics’ breakthrough in one-time pad encryption at scale uniquely positions the company to address the most significant security challenges of our time,” Hallman stated.

Hallman’s National Security Expertise Bolsters Symmatrics’ Advisory Board

Hallman’s experience included leading the establishment of a new directorate within the CIA focused on digital innovation from 2015 to 2019, a period of rapid technological advancement and escalating cyber risks. He later served as Principal Executive, performing the duties of Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence, overseeing the U.S. Intelligence Community and advising the President on intelligence matters from 2019 to 2020.

Walter Raquet, Chairman and CEO of Symmatrics, said Andrew’s experience leading the nation’s most critical intelligence and security initiatives makes him a valuable addition to their advisory board, and that Andrew’s perspective will help guide their efforts to develop technologies protecting governments, enterprises, and critical infrastructure from the next generation of cyber risks.

Hallman said he looks forward to supporting the team in safeguarding the country’s organizations. His current role as Vice President and Strategic Account Executive for the Intelligence Community at Leidos, Inc. further highlights his continued engagement with national security priorities.
