British based Quantum Companies making waves in the Quantum Industry

We’ve widened our information set to include Quantum related companies too (not just quantum computing) – some of those companies are funding the very Quantum Start-ups that we write about (For example IP Group funds Quantum Motion). Other such as Oxford Instruments, as their name suggests provide some of the supportive (refrigeration) technologies that allow super cooled qubits to operate.

This list it not exhaustive but gives a snap-shot of some of the companies emerging from the British shores. Companies like Quantopticon are at the early stages of their funding and building traction in their markets. Quantum Computing companies such as CQC are much further along the funding pathway and have garnered massive amounts of funding which is helping them accelerate growth through hiring and development.

We have to caveat that with just about all private companies, despite research efforts it is often not possible to accurately determine some attributes as this information is privately held. Valuations might be contentious but where possible we have provided some estimation of what we think the business is worth. There are of course many ways to value a business and we won’t get it right, but we have tried where possible to model and then estimate what the business could be worth.
