Neuromorphic Labs builds a ‘trust layer’ for business AI

Neuromorphic Labs has secured $5.1 million in an oversubscribed seed funding round led by Flying Fish, with participation from Toyota Ventures, indicating early investor confidence in a “trust layer” for business artificial intelligence. The company is building an enterprise platform designed to accelerate the path from AI experimentation to production, addressing a critical need as AI transitions from a consumed capability to owned strategic infrastructure.

“Our vision is to make building, deploying, and operating AI as seamless as modern software development,” said Chetan Kapoor, Founder of Neuromorphic Labs, as the company aims to support organizations leveraging advanced models for proofs-of-concept and ultimately building purpose-built AI solutions.

$5.1M Seed Funding Enables Production AI “Trust Layer”

Neuromorphic Labs secured $5.1 million. The funding round was led by Flying Fish, with participation from Toyota Ventures and several other venture capital firms, and will be used to expand the company’s team and accelerate platform development. This investment reflects a growing recognition that simply building more capable AI models is insufficient; organizations now require tools to reliably deploy and operate those models at scale.

The company is focused on establishing what it terms a “trust layer” for production AI, addressing a critical gap in existing infrastructure. As AI becomes embedded in production and physical systems, purpose-built models are increasingly becoming foundational for competitive advantage, a shift made more accessible by open-source options. However, models, weights, datasets, and agents are rapidly becoming core intellectual property, transforming AI from a consumed capability into strategic, owned infrastructure.

This transition demands a new level of visibility, control, and verifiability throughout the entire AI lifecycle, something existing tools were not designed to provide. Neuromorphic Labs embeds trust directly into this lifecycle, tracking every change to models and data to ensure provenance, consistency, and policy enforcement during runtime. “I’ve had a front-row seat to every major wave of AI infrastructure over the past decade.

Every wave expanded what organizations could build, and made the stack underneath exponentially more complex,” said Chetan Kapoor, CEO and Founder of Neuromorphic Labs. The platform is designed to integrate with existing AI development tools and operate across diverse computing environments, including public clouds, on-premises systems, and edge infrastructure.

Advanced models are expected to handle a significant portion of initial work, particularly in proofs-of-concept and product-market validation, but Neuromorphic Labs is positioning itself to support organizations as they transition to owning and operating their own AI assets.
