QCi Creates Chief Product Officer Role, Dianat to Lead

Quantum Computing Inc. is restructuring its leadership to prioritize commercial expansion and product development, a move unusual for companies still scaling their operations. The company, known as QCi (Nasdaq: QUBT) and described as a vertically integrated company in photonics and semiconductor manufacturing, appointed Susan Hunt as Chief Revenue Officer. Simultaneously, QCi created the role of Chief Product Officer, transitioning current Chief Revenue Officer Pouya Dianat into the position to lead product strategy. “This is a thoughtful and strategic evolution of our leadership team as QCi enters its next phase of growth,” said Yuping Huang, CEO of QCi, adding that the company’s technologies are now ready for broader deployment.

Susan Hunt Appointed CRO, Driving Commercial Growth

Quantum Computing Inc. This move demonstrates a commitment to translating technological advancements into revenue, a strategy often delayed in companies still refining core technologies. Hunt arrives with over three decades of experience commercializing technologies, spanning enterprise software, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, telecommunications, and emerging tech; this breadth of expertise suggests QCi anticipates a complex path to market penetration. Hunt’s career includes executive leadership roles at Orbital Insight, Nuance Communications, LivePerson, Salesforce, and Sprint PCS, where she reportedly negotiated over $2 billion in enterprise agreements. This history of building and leading high-performing global sales organizations is central to QCi’s ambitions. “Throughout my career, I have been passionate about bringing technologies to market and building world-class enterprise sales organizations,” Hunt stated, outlining her focus as CRO. She will now lead QCi’s global revenue strategy, sales, business development, partnerships, customer success, and go-to-market execution as the company expands its commercial footprint.

The appointment of Pouya Dianat to the newly created role of Chief Product Officer further clarifies QCi’s strategic direction. Dianat, formerly the Chief Revenue Officer, will now focus on product vision, strategy, and management, bridging the gap between technological innovation and customer needs. This internal transition is notable; it isn’t typical for growth-stage companies to simultaneously elevate a revenue leader to a product role. Huang emphasized that the company’s technology and products are now ready for wider deployment, delivering value through practical applications. QCi describes itself as a “vertically integrated quantum company in photonics and semiconductor manufacturing,” distinguishing it from many quantum firms focused solely on software or research. This integration, encompassing foundry services for photonic chips and semiconductor manufacturing, positions QCi to control more of the supply chain and potentially reduce costs. Dianat expressed enthusiasm for this challenge, stating, “Our opportunity is to transform innovative quantum technologies into products that solve real business problems.” He will oversee product strategy, working closely with technology, engineering, and marketing teams to deliver market-leading solutions.

As organizations increasingly look to harness the power of quantum technology to solve complex business challenges, QCi is uniquely positioned to deliver practical, differentiated solutions.
