Splunk goes Quantum

Splunk (the listed company) is best known for its searching capability to interrogate data from a variety of sources such as machine generated logs but that could be applied to virtually anything. Splunk has joined forces with Quantum Computing Inc. in an effort to turn it’s attention to fledgling Quantum Inspired software.

Quantum Computing Inc along with Splunk will do both fundamental and applied research to develop analytics that exploit conventional large-data cybersecurity stores and data-analytics workflows, combined with quantum-ready graph and constrained-optimization algorithms.

The partnership with Splunk will focus on three key challenges: network security, dynamic logistics and scheduling.
