QuantWare and C-DAC Explore Co-Development of Hybrid Quantum Computing Technologies

A collaborative initiative to co-develop hybrid quantum computing technologies has been announced between QuantWare, a leading provider of quantum processors, and the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), India’s premier research and development organisation under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. The partnership, formalised through a Letter of Intent on 15 September 2025, will focus on supporting government laboratories and academic institutions pursuing quantum computing research and development. This collaboration aims to advance indigenous cryogenic electronics, superconducting quantum hardware, and secure access to advanced processor fabrication, aligning with both India’s National Quantum Mission and the Chip-IN program designed to strengthen domestic semiconductor design capabilities. Matt Rijlaarsdam, CEO of QuantWare, highlighted the potential for creating some of the world’s most powerful hybrid computing systems, while Shri. E. Magesh, Director General of C-DAC, emphasised the strategic importance of the partnership in reinforcing India’s position in next-generation technologies.
