Quantum RGB Image Encryption: A New Algorithm for Secure Data Transmission

Researchers from the Islamic Azad University North Tehran Branch and Islamic Azad University of Kermanshah have developed a new algorithm for color image encryption. The algorithm uses bitplane representation of quantum images and a logistic map for image scrambling operations. The output is then combined with a key image created using the logistic map, resulting in a secure image output. The algorithm has proven efficient in securing and encrypting color images, as shown by experiments with simulation and analysis of parameters such as entropy and correlation coefficient of adjacent pixels.

The proposed algorithm has shown efficiency and effectiveness in securing and encrypting color images, as demonstrated by experiments with simulation and analysis of parameters such as entropy and correlation coefficient of adjacent pixels in three main positions. The algorithm’s efficiency is also attributed to the increased efficiency in quantum Fourier transform and quantum discrete cosine transform and the ability to simulate and implement image processing and encryption operations in classical computers with linear algebra.
