Quanfluence Raises $2 Million in a Seed funds for  Optical Ising Machine

Quantum technology startup Quanfluence has secured two million dollars in funding led by pi Ventures with participation from Golden Sparrow and Reena Dayal founder of Quantum Ecosystems and Technology Council of India.

The Bengaluru-based company founded by Sujoy Chakravarty, Ravi Mehta Biman Chattopadhyay, Anil Prabhakar, Aditi Vaidya, and Sandeep Goyal will utilize the funds to scale its near-term products and accelerate the development of its quantum computer. Quanfluence develops photonics based quantum and quantum inspired solutions including an optical Ising machine that uses light waves as computational units.

According to Shubham Sandeep managing director at pi Ventures their photonic based technology has the potential to transform industries by addressing complex optimization challenges where classical computing falls short. The investment is part of pi Ventures second fund which focuses on deeptech sectors including quantum computing and marks a significant step in the growth of quantum technology in India with key players like Quanfluence and QNu Labs making strides in the field.
