NQCC to Strengthen Collaboration Within UK Quantum Ecosystem

The National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC) is establishing an Industry Network to foster deeper collaboration within the United Kingdom’s growing quantum technology sector. Bringing together providers of quantum computing hardware and software, alongside supply chain partners and potential end-users, the NQCC aims to solidify connections across the entire UK quantum ecosystem. The first meeting of this network will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the RAL Campus in Harwell, Oxfordshire, offering attendees a briefing on the NQCC’s program and recent advancements. “If you’re part of the quantum computing value chain – from technology development to real-world application – this is a great opportunity to engage with the NQCC and the wider industry,” states the NQCC, as the organization seeks expressions of interest through March 30 for the limited-space event.

NQCC Industry Network Launch for UK Quantum Collaboration

A coordinated national effort to accelerate quantum technology development is now underway with the establishment of a new Industry Network spearheaded by the National Quantum Computing Centre. This initiative aims to forge stronger links between the diverse players in the United Kingdom’s quantum ecosystem, encompassing both the creators of quantum hardware and software, as well as those who will ultimately integrate these technologies into practical applications. The network’s launch recognizes the need for close collaboration across the entire quantum computing value chain, from initial technology development to deployment in real-world scenarios. Participants will have the opportunity to directly engage with the NQCC and network with peers, contributing to the strategic direction of the UK’s growing quantum capabilities. Interested parties are invited to submit expressions of interest via a dedicated link, https://lnkd.in/em9saxAS, with a deadline of Monday, March 30, as spaces are limited and allocated based on availability. The event is exclusively in-person, signaling a commitment to direct interaction and relationship building within the quantum community, and builds on support from UK Research and Innovation, EPSRC, and STFC.

April 22, 2026 Event Details at RAL Campus, Harwell

The Harwell campus will host an in-person event on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, running from 10:00 to 15:00 hours, designed to foster connections within the developing UK quantum computing sector. This gathering, organized by the National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC), specifically targets those involved in the quantum computing value chain, encompassing hardware and software development, supply chain logistics, and practical applications of the technology. Attendees will receive briefings on the NQCC’s ongoing program and recent advancements, providing insight into the Centre’s trajectory. Beyond program updates, the event prioritizes direct interaction; participants can pose questions to NQCC representatives and network with colleagues across the industry, contributing to the ongoing development of the UK’s quantum ecosystem. The event’s structure reflects a deliberate effort to move beyond isolated research and toward collaborative innovation, acknowledging the complex interplay required to translate quantum potential into tangible results.

There is so much happening right now in the field of technology, whether AI or the march of robots. Adrian is an expert on how technology can be transformative, especially frontier technologies. But Quantum occupies a special space. Quite literally a special space. A Hilbert space infact, haha! Here I try to provide some of the news that is considered breaking news in the Quantum Computing and Quantum tech space.
