Fujitsu is poised to dramatically accelerate AI adoption with the launch of a new sovereign AI platform in July 2026, designed to give enterprises complete control over the entire generative AI lifecycle. Addressing critical challenges in data security and AI management, the platform will initially roll out in Japan and Europe, with preliminary trial registration beginning February 2, 2026. Fujitsu aims to deliver a solution that minimizes deployment hurdles, even “without extensive specialized knowledge,” by packaging advanced AI technologies – including the Fujitsu Kozuchi AI platform – into a single offering. This move will enable businesses to harness the power of generative AI, from large enterprise systems to edge computing, while ensuring alignment with evolving business needs and fostering reliable, safe operations.
Fujitsu Launches Dedicated Generative AI Lifecycle Platform
Fujitsu aims to extend deployment across all AI scales, including edge and physical AI, and will continuously refine the generative AI to adapt to evolving business needs, ultimately “fostering customer transformation and growth.”
Addressing key hurdles in sovereign AI implementation, Fujitsu will offer the platform both as a dedicated service and for on-premise deployment via Private AI Platform on PRIMERGY and Private GPT. A significant offering is the reduction of memory consumption, with actual measurements showing “up to 94%” for the large language model Takane, as announced on September 8, 2025.
PRIMERGY & Private GPT Enable Sovereign AI Deployment
This dedicated AI environment addresses key sovereign requirements, including data protection and autonomous control over AI models, a growing concern for organizations handling sensitive information. The platform leverages Fujitsu’s PRIMERGY servers and Private GPT solutions to offer a packaged system, aiming to lower the barrier to entry for companies lacking extensive AI expertise.
Enterprises using generative AI need an environment that meets sovereign requirements, including the need for protection of confidential data and the ability to autonomously control AI models and agents optimized for their operations.
94% Memory Reduction Achieved with Takane LLM
Fujitsu announced a dedicated AI platform poised to significantly alter generative AI deployment, with a key innovation being substantial reductions in computational demands. This leap in efficiency addresses a major bottleneck in deploying sophisticated AI, particularly within secure, on-premise environments where resource limitations are often acute. The platform’s features include high-precision generative AI models coupled with customization and “lightweighting technologies” designed to minimize resource usage. This advancement is particularly relevant for enterprises prioritizing data sovereignty and control over their AI infrastructure, as it lowers the barrier to entry for running powerful models internally. Preliminary trials of features like in-house fine-tuning and model quantization will begin accepting registrations on February 2, 2026, with a full launch anticipated in July 2026.
