The company reported a record 99.9% control accuracy for a qubit manufactured using industry-standard Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor (CMOS) materials on a 300mm silicon wafer. The qubit device used for this demonstration was manufactured by imec, an independent nanoelectronics research and development hub based in Leuven, Belgium. The 99.9% single qubit control fidelity is the highest to date for a silicon spin qubit made in a 300mm foundry environment using standard CMOS materials and processes.

This differentiates them from other modalities that require large, energy-intensive, and costly systems.

Diraq’s Quantum Dot Technology and Future Plans

Diraq’s quantum dot technology has been developed over 20 years of research and has generated 11 patent families. The company’s approach relies on the existing silicon manufacturing processes, known as CMOS, used by foundries to produce today’s semiconductor components.
