Amera IoT Unveils Quantum-Proof Encryption Backed by 14 US Patents

Amera IoT announced a breakthrough in quantum-proof encryption with its new AmeraKey® Encryption technology. This patented system is backed by 14 issued U.S. patents, covering areas like key generation and transmission-free encryption. The technology aims to provide long-term data protection by eliminating key and ciphertext transmission.

AmeraKey® Encryption: Patented Quantum-Proof Key Generation & Security

AmeraKey® Encryption generates encryption keys using a unique Picture and PIN method, creating high-quality entropy on both ends of a communication. This allows for independent and simultaneous generation of identical keys without requiring transmission, a key differentiator from conventional systems. The company’s 14 U.S. patents cover this key generation, plus innovations in transmission-free encryption and one-time-pad secure communications. This technology is designed to remain secure regardless of computing advancements, including the development of quantum computers. Unlike traditional encryption that relies on computational difficulty, AmeraKey’s strength isn’t tied to processing power, and in some cases, doesn’t even require ciphertext transmission.

Amera IoT intends to work with sectors like finance, healthcare, and defense to establish a new standard for secure communications, offering training and risk assessments to help organizations prepare for quantum computing threats.

14 U.S. Patents Cover Transmission-Free Encryption & Entropy Creation

The core of this new security approach involves generating identical encryption keys independently at both ends of a communication link. A patented method utilizing a Picture and PIN combination is used to create high-quality entropy, essential for robust key generation. This allows for secure communications based on a one-time-pad principle, further strengthening data protection without reliance on computational complexity. Amera IoT’s technology is protected by 14 U.S. patents that specifically address key generation, entropy creation, and a method of transmission-free encryption. Importantly, key or ciphertext transmission is eliminated in some implementations, preventing interception and decryption attempts. This design focuses on long-term security, anticipating advancements in both classical and quantum computing capabilities.

Our patented approach enables quantum-proof security by removing the need to transmit keys or ciphertext at all, providing protection that does not degrade as computing power evolves.

Dr. Donovan is a futurist and technology writer covering the quantum revolution. Where classical computers manipulate bits that are either on or off, quantum machines exploit superposition and entanglement to process information in ways that classical physics cannot. Dr. Donovan tracks the full quantum landscape: fault-tolerant computing, photonic and superconducting architectures, post-quantum cryptography, and the geopolitical race between nations and corporations to achieve quantum advantage. The decisions being made now, in research labs and government offices around the world, will determine who controls the most powerful computers ever built.
