Amaravati Quantum Valley to Create 100,000 Jobs by 2026

Andhra Pradesh is investing in the Amaravati Quantum Valley, slated to begin operations on January 1, 2026, with Tata Consultancy Services and Larsen & Toubro supporting the initiative. The project, backed by the Indian Department of Science & Technology, will house a 156-qubit IBM Quantum Computer – the first of its kind in South Asia – and aims to create over 100,000 jobs. IBM reports that over 200,000 people globally have already accessed its quantum computing platforms, signalling growing international interest in the technology’s commercial applications.

Quantum Valley Initiative Launched

The Andhra Pradesh government, in collaboration with the Department of Science & Technology, Tata Consultancy Services, and Larsen & Toubro, is establishing the Amaravati Quantum Valley, scheduled to commence operations on January 1, 2026.
