Qiskit Metal Now Launched For Quantum Device Design

Qiskit, one of the most popular open source Quantum programming languages has released is sporting a new initiative: Qiskit Metal which is bringing the open-ness to the hardware side of Quantum development. Quantum Metal is aimed squarely at the quantum community so that quantum chip development can happen collaboratively. The vision is to create a community-driven universal toolkit capable of orchestrating quantum chip development.

Our vision is to develop a community-driven universal toolkit capable of orchestrating quantum chip development from concept to fabrication in a simple, scalable, and open framework.

Qiskit Metal

Qiskit Metal allows designers to create prototype chips in a matter of minutes. Beginning from the universal programming language, Python, users can take advantage of the user-friendly graphical user interface (GUI) of Qiskit Metal. Existing libraries of components include transmon qubits and coplanar resonators can be connected together effortlessly.
